Swahili Culinary Trail

Three days of markets, a home kitchen, and a long lunch. Food first, with Stone Town as the setting.

Stone Town

From $540 per person, indicative. Confirmed in our reply.

A short cultural stay for guests who would rather learn a coconut curry than tick off beaches. You cook with a family host, walk the market with a list, and eat slowly. Group size stays small.

Highlights

  • Market walk and ingredient briefing
  • Hands-on Swahili lunch in a family kitchen
  • Spice farm tied to what you will cook

Questions

Are the hosts paid fairly?

Yes. The cooking fee is a direct payment to the host family plus ingredients, stated in your quotation. It is not folded into a vague u2018communityu2019 line.
